Google Music Beta Invite

I got invited to the Google Music beta!

I just got an email inviting me into the Google Music Beta! I’m excited about trying out this new cloud based music platform and blogging about it. The first thing I did was select from free music packs, which I think was an excuse for Google to see what kind/genres of music I like. I picked my favs and then was prompted to download a program. I did and it then asked me to sign into my account with google. After that, it asked me where I kept my music. I told it iTunes and it started scanning that folder. This took about 5 minutes, which seemed like a while, but probably just because I’m pumped about Google Music!

After it was done, it asked me if I wanted to open the player. I did and it opened it in a web browser, which I had set to Google Chrome. I could get in and listen to the songs that it had uploaded so far, and the songs I had selected from my song pack. I hit Shuffle All and it started playing through my speakers! I sounded great and I will probably start using this as my music player. Now the question is, how do I get my amazon cloud mp3s to the google music player?

Any invites to send my way? You will just have to download your tunes from Amazon and upload them to Google music.

You probably already know this, but Amazon probably uses Java script to generate dynamic download links to prevent buying the album once and sharing the hot links. So that leaves remote uploading out of the question.

    Peace & Have fun,
    Anthony
