So last Friday, I completed the NationBuilder Expert Certification, meaning that I am well trained to serve on future NationBuilder projects in the nonprofit, government, and political arena. If you don’t know what NationBuilder is, it is essentially a CRM, or customer relations management software solution, that scales with the number of customers/supporters in your “nation.” It has been used successfully in the past by political and nonprofit organizers to maximize reach to their supporters and mobilize volunteers in political campaigns.

The things I like about NationBuilder are the ability to manipulate a huge database of potential customers or voters based on very specific criteria. It also ties this “People” database into twitter and Facebook, meaning that you can integrate social media activity from supporters into your database. Furthermore, when a customer shares a blog post on your page, you get to see how well that share does, not just shares in general or general visits to the page, but actual response to that person’s share. Finally, you can sort your Nation by Klout score, which I find most exceptional. This means you can see who to focus targeted shares to to maximize potential mileage on your posts and content.
All of this means I am better equipped to be a stronger social media marketer to my clients, because I can help organize and reach out to supporters to political campaigns and be a help be a force for good in the world! If you are running for political office or even just want to maximize social media content across your supporter base, let me know at [email protected]. I look forward to hearing from you. If you have a project you’d like me to consult on, please don’t hesitate to call me at (865)406-4015 or tweet me @GetMorePC.
