When it comes to computer repair, there really are just two ways to do it, either you do it yourself or you hire a professional to do it for you. For me, however, I would only ever call on a professional when for the more advanced stuff like repairing the motherboard and other hardware concerns. As for everything else, and especially when it only involves only software concerns, I’d rather do it myself.
The good thing about Do It Yourself computer repair is that it’s fun and it’s free, plus you don’t have to wait for someone to do something about your computer.
Can you make your computer much worse by doing the repair? Sure, you can, especially if you don’t read a how-to article before you fix whatever it is that’s bothering your PC. There are many free resources out there on the web that can help you do computer repair. But if you don’t have the time and the patience to learn something new, just go ahead and hire a PC repair technician. As for me, I’m learning more and more everyday that I can fix my PC myself, which is a good thing.
